All messages left by people who has visited the Appartamento could be gathered in a book. There are so many little and coloured papers, each one with a thought.

So much time would be spent to photograph all of them but we have read them immediately, evening after evening.

Some size of color is needed to provide vitality and a character into a space. I have found the appropriate angle, 7.5 degree, of a leaning object neither disturbing people’s moving nor being unstable itself.

Sometimes, observing objects in new angles aesthetically and functionally gives unexpected joy. ONIV is a candle stand, vase and oil lamp inspired from the shape of wine glass upside down.

Once visitors are welcomed, they can get the back of lion and see his lovely hip, which is very funny and peaceful in comparison to his savage face outside of the door.

An object that appears soft but is actually hard. An object that arouses the desire to touch it and to explore his consistency. The converted oil barrels remind of colossal, crushed drink cans. Both objects seem grotesque and surreal but are still afflicted with a strong political statement. Contemporary memorials. They refer to the oil war and to piles of rubbish.

In italian we say “hang shoes on the wall” Which means to forget about your dreams and give up your passions. But to hang something on the wall can also be a way to celebrate and declair the importance of it .

This is what i wanted to dissuss within the Edison prodject The conflict between the need to move with tecnology and in the same time pay tribute to the beauty within the symplicity of the edison bulbs design.
